Fetus found in Farrukhnagar; report awaited

GURUGRAM: A five-month-old fetus was found lying on a concrete slab on the roadside in Dhana village of Farrukhnagar on Sunday. On the morning of January 1, people noticed the fetus and gathered around the area. One of the villagers then informed the police.
The complainant Monu told police that he was stepping out for some work when he noticed a crowd.
“When I went closer, I saw a fetus and immediately called the police. Nobody knew whose fetus was this but it looked around five months old,” he told IMT Manesar police.
Based on the complaint, an FIR has been registered against the unknown person under IPC Section 318 (whoever, by secretly burying or otherwise disposing of the dead body of a child whether such child dies before or after or during its birth, intentionally conceals or endeavours to conceal the birth of such child, shall be punished with imprisonment).
Police are investigating the case and have sent the fetus for an autopsy.
